Taste the Local Difference
Taste the Local Difference originated under the roof of the Traverse City non-profit Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities. With a mission to educate consumers about the value of local food and to support food and farming entrepreneurs in building successful, well-connected businesses, TLD was purchased and converted into a standalone for-profit marketing service by Boomerang Catapult in 2019. While its mission and sector remain constant, this shift resulted in new strategies, from diversifying its geographic presence to consolidating functionality. In 2020, TLD was sold in its entirety to Jody Trietch; Boomerang Catapult retains an ownership interest in the company.
