Birch

In 2019, Boomerang Catapult became the first outside investor in Birch Infrastructure, a public benefit LLC. Co-founded by Ken Davies and originally headquartered in Traverse City, Birch develops data center industrial parks and provides renewable, carbon-free energy to power industrial parks and other businesses with high energy needs. In 2022, Birch sold lines of its business to Carlyle and Quinbrook in separate transactions.
